Flowers by Nicolette Owen

Este curso intensivo lo impartió Nicolette Owen, una florista muy conocida por sus diseños espontáneos e inspirados en la jardinería. Nicolette y Sarah Ryhanen son las fundadoras de Little Flower School, una escuela de floristería en Brooklyn, Nueva York. Tienen como propósito conectar la comunidad de diseñadores florales, artistas, y amantes de la florería a nivel internacional. 

En este curso, nos enfocamos en las diferentes especies de Peonias. Aprendimos sobre todas sus características y cuidados. También aprendimos a utilizar otro tipo de flores para darle el enfoque principal del arreglo a las Peonias. Nicolette es una artista muy apasionada, nos compartió muchísimos tips sobre como escoger flores, armar arreglos y saber cuidarlos. Aunque vive en Nueva York, Nicolette imparte cursos de cupo limitado cada año en diferentes ciudades del mundo.

This intensive workshop was led by Nicolette Owen, a florist that is well-known for her spontaneous, garden-inspired arrangements. Along with Sarah Ryhanen, Nicolette created the Little Flower School in Brooklyn, New York. They aim to connect the world-wide floral designers, artists and lovers. 

During this workshop, we focused on peonies. We learnt about the different types of peonies that exists, their characteristics and how to take care of them. We also learnt how to choose other type of flowers and use them to highlight and focus the beauty of peonies. Nicolette is passionate for floral art, she shared with us many useful tips that I've been using ever since. Although she's based in New York, she leads workshops internationally as well.
